Does the system require a separate power supply?
Smart Link is completely powered by your indoor equipment’s low voltage power supply. If additional power is required, a separate transformer can be added at the outdoor unit.
I notice a clear, rubbery film covering the boards. What is it?
What you see is known as conformal coating. This clear film protects the control boards from moisture and humidity. It also protects the circuitry from shorts and vibrations.

We are happy to answer any questions you might have. If your heating or cooling equipment is not working we recommend contacting your local HVAC service company. They can quickly and accurately diagnose any issues.
Is there power protection?
Yes. A self-resettable fuse provides over current protection. You don’t have to carry 3amp or 5amp fuses like most HVAC circuit boards. If a power spike is detected the fuse separates internally. Once the power spike has ended the fuse automatically resets within 5 seconds.
I’ve installed and wired it correctly, but it’s not working. What now?
Turn off all power and double check all wire connections. Make sure all wiring is fully connected to their terminals. Give each wire a slight tug to make sure. If that is not the issue see our troubleshooting section in the installation manual.
What is your return policy?
If you purchased Smart Link through your local HVAC distributor or online retailer, you need to contract them directly. If you purchased Smart Link directly from us, you have 30 days from date of purchase to return the product. All returns must be in original packaging. You will receive a refund of the product purchase price within 10 days once it’s received.
Is Smart Link tested before it ships?
Yes. Every Smart Link is fully tested after assembly.
Is Smart Link patented?

How long of wire can Smart Link work with?
Smart Link is fully functional at distances over 500 feet.
